Lego Workshop

On Wednesday 18th of November, my class went to the Lego workshop in Waikowhai Primary School's hall.

 There were different workshops we could go to. Claire and Vanessa showed us some of the displays they have done.

 My favourite activity was when my group got to make our own spaceships I enjoyed it because there were lots of different characters that we could put on the spaceship and because there were lots of different pieces. We also got to be in buddies my buddy was Rumaisa. 

Skateboarding

On Friday 13th of November we went skateboarding. 

The teachers for skateboarding are called Ben and Lawrence.

 My favourite trick in skateboarding was the willy flip. My class split in two groups. My group played what’s up wolf.

How to play it first somebody keeps on skateboarding and when that person looks back the other people behind the person have to stop if they do not stop they have to go back to the start.

 I thought the game was fun because you practice your skateboarding skills. We also learn different tricks like the crab walk, we could also go on the grass if it was too hard for us on the concrete.

Art Colouring Book - Summer Learning Journey

On Monday the 30th of November my classes teacher showed us an online Art Colouring Book. The first art I coloured is called Roses and the person who painted it is called Vincent van Gogh. The second art I coloured is called Composition and Mohamed Melehi. My favourite painting in the Art Colouring Book is Roses. Mangere Mountain

On the 16th of November, the middle school went to Mangere Mountain. 

When we went inside Leilani and Ellie did a karanga to welcome us .

 Leilani and Ellie were showing us around and soon after we walked on the mountain we also learnt about how people used to live on the mountain .

I learnt that people used to eat seafood when they were on the mountain and they go to different spots to do different things like to get food. 

I thought the trip was very fun because we got to go up the mountain.

My favourite learning this week

My favourite piece of learning this week is my reading from yesterday, I read a book called I spy.

The book is about two aliens called Stone and Pebble, who live on a planet with only rocks.
I liked the book because they found out about some objects like apples, leaves, apple tree and flowers, and they gave them fun names because they didn't know what the names actually was. Like green flat blurbs = leaves, pretty white plogs = flowers and shiny red glosh = apples. I thought is was a bit interesting, after I finished the book we had to say 5 fruits or veggies I would bring with me.

Here's what i'll bring:

I talked about it with my family at the dinner table and asked my mom and dad, I thought they had some good ideas: My mum said she would take coconut because you can drink from it and eat the white bit inside. She said she would call it brown bowling ball. My dad would take kiwifruit because it's his favourite he said he would call it small green oval nugget.
