A movie I watched during lockdown

Hi bloggers,

On Easter Monday 13th of April I watched a movie called "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory."
What was interesting is that the movie was made in 1971 before my parents were born. The movie was about a boy named Charlie and he was wondering why no one comes in or out at Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. He manages to win a golden ticket to go into the factory. Inside the factory there is a room that everything is edible, if I was in that room I would start eating the big gummy bears. My favourite part of the movie was that there is a girl named Veruca in the movie and there is a part where it has a machine that shows if it is a good or bad golden chocolate egg, she stepped on the machine and went down because she is bad and she is a egg. I enjoyed the movie very much.

Thanks for reading Cya later!

  1. Hi Jaycee, I like your blog. My teacher is reading the some book to the class in lock down. Perhaps you could put a picture of the movie. What is your favourite character?

  2. Hi Jaycee, thank you for that movie review. Do you know, that film was made before I was born either! There has been another film made about the same book, but I prefer the original. I once came to school for 'Book Character Day' dressed as an Oompa Loompa - I drove the whole way to school with my face painted orange, wearing a green wig, waving at people as I drove along! It was a lot of fun. If you get the chance to read the book 'Charlie and The Chocolate Factory' by Roald Dahl, it is a fabulous read. Maybe when we get back to school you could have it issued from the library, or if you are a member of the Auckland Libraries, maybe you could borrow a digital copy. I'll look forward to seeing you later in our meeting today Jaycee.

  3. Hi Jaycee, it is great that you have shared lots of information about the movie without telling everyone how it ends! It is just enough to have your readers find out more. I really enjoyed this movie when I was little too. It was also one of my favourite books to read when I was about your age. I have a copy that you could borrow if you would like to once we get back to school if you would like?
    Thanks for sharing.
