Visiting the sky tower

Kia Ora bloggers,

It's new years eve! Tomorrow it's going to be 2020.

On the 31st December I went to the sky tower with my family. I enjoyed taking photos and going up to the high deck. It was quite scary going up on the lift because you can see through the glass door while your going up. When I got off the lift, and went to the Observation deck, I just looked down I was afraid at first, but after a while I was brave to walk around, even on the glass floor!

I like the sky tower because it is tall and you get to see all of Auckland, I saw: harbour bridge, Rangitoto island, the Auckland War Memorial Museum, boats on the water, lots of houses and buildings. I hope to visit it in a different time of day again because it's see Auckland like a birds eye view.

Happy new year!

  1. Kia orana Jaycee, Happy New Year!

My name is Eliza and I’m working as a blog commenter on the Summer Learning Journey this summer. Have you done the Summer Learning Journey before? I’m looking forward to reading your posts and the other bloggers' posts from the Ako Hiko cluster, over the next few weeks! If you want to know more about me, you can check out my blog.

It's so great to see that you're doing some blogging, going up the Skytower looked so fun (and a bit nerve-wracking!) It looks like you're doing some activities that aren’t Summer Learning Journey activities though, which means you won’t be getting points for them. We really hope you join this year's Summer Learning Journey which has heaps of cool activities about 'People Who Have Changed the World'.

Here are the links to the activities that are worth points:

    Have a great day!
    Eliza :)
